Here's the information about the Metro Winter swim League
Championships at BU on Saturday March 15, 2008.
Hello Stingrays,
I am starting to put together the line-up for Championships,
as it has to be submitted well before the meet. Championships
is REQUIRED by all swimmers to reserve their spot on the team for next
year. We have practiced as a team all year, have gone to dual meets as a
team, and want to go to championships as a team!
The following swimmers have spoken to me individually and
are excused from Championships:
Alastair Bastian
Isabelle Bastian
Ryan Hoff
Sarah Grace
Julia Grace
Abigail Simon
Andrew Scherrer
Ryan Hooley
Steve Hooley (though if he's available,
we'll bring him to the meet!)
I am assuming, since no one else has contacted me that, all
other swimmers on the team will be present for the championship meet.
While it may be a little daunting for new swimmers, the experience of being at
championships is like no other, and swimmers tend to rise to the
challenge. Competing in the BU pool is a great experience for swimmers of
all levels. We would like every swimmer to give it a shot.
The following are the volunteers for each session:
AM Session- 10 and Under
Bullpen: Bob Doherty, Julie Tedford, Bryan King, Maureen
Galaid, Keiko Fuchioka
Parent Chaperone: Jeryl Kennedy, Lynne King, Patrick
Perry, Jessa Huff, Gwenn Roos, Beth Leonard
PM Session- 11 and Over
Bullpen: Diane Ledingham, Lori Janiuk, Tony Janiuk
Parent Chaperone:
I could use one or two more parents to help out with the
bullpen in the PM session. Let me know if you are interested in
volunteering. The parents listed above will be the ONLY parents permitted
on deck during the meet. All other parents must remain in the bleachers.
I will send out the final specifics related to the meet
surrounding time of warm-up, volunteer meetings, and the line-up a week before
the meet.
