Welcome to another season of swimming!
We would like to welcome all new swimmers and new families to the Stingrays. This season’s coaching staff consists of Melissa Callaghan, Jessa Huff, Alex Mulcahy, Jen Dutton, Diane Seltzer, Tommy McCauley, Eric Dew and Margaret Carroll.
Combined the coaches bring over 30 years of experience to our team. Our goals include, working with the swimmers to improve their stroke skills, endurance and competitive swimming style. For many of our swimmers, this will build on years of practice, and for others, it will be a new experience. We will do our best to instruct in a non-threatening way that will create a welcoming and safe environment in and around the pool. All of our swimmers have the ability to learn new things and improve on what they already know. We can almost guarantee you that with some hard work, each of the swimmers will notice a significant improvement by the end of the season.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind each of you that our swim meets run smoothly because of our parental involvement. We are dependent on volunteers to help our meets run efficiently. Even if you have never touched a stopwatch, don't be afraid to volunteer, you will learn just like your children.
The Stingrays have a team bulletin board, outside the pool, and a team website that are used for communications. Team Stats will be posted on the bulletin board. You must sign up for the swim meets on the web site one week before the next meet. Due to the overwhelming job of scheduling swimmers in the events, we are asking you to please sign up early at http://stingrays.natickonline.com/.
In addition to the bulletin board, communication will be on email regularly. If you have not received any emails yet, be sure to send me your correct address. You can always email the team at stingrays_swim@yahoo.com
Each swimmer is required to come to two practices a week in order to swim in the week's meet. If there are other factors, please let the coaches know.
Thank you for being a part of our team! We look forward to great season!
See you at the pool,
The coaches.
