Directions to Garfield Magnet School

·        Take Route 20 East to Route I-95 South.

·        Travel 1.7 miles south to Route 90 (Mass Pike) East.

·        Follow Route 90 East to the Newton Toll booths ($1.00).  Stay to the tolls on the right, following the signs for Route 90 East. This will be your 2nd toll.  The first one is with a ticket; this toll is just a dollar toll.

·        At the tolls set your trip meter to zero.

·        Continue on Route 90 East. 

·        At 3.4 miles you will follow the signs to Logan Airport/Route 90East.  There are 2 lanes on the right entering the tunnel. 

·        Once you enter the tunnel, stay to the left.

·        At 5.8 miles, you will see the signs for Route 1A.  Stay in the left lanes until it merges to one lane.  Once the road opens up to 2 lanes again, stay in the right lane.

·        After the first traffic light, look for a Green Sign that says:

·        Suffolk Downs (it’s a horse race track).

·        At 8.5 miles, Turn RIGHT into the entrance to Suffolk downs.

·        Follow the roadway and bear to the left in front of the clubhouse.

·        At the end of the road is a traffic light.

·        Turn LEFT and then take an immediate RIGHT onto North Shore Road.

·        Take the first RIGHT onto Eliot Road.  Stay straight when the road forks to the right and left. 

·        Proceed to the 2nd stop sign at Garfield Street

·        Turn LEFT onto Garfield Street.

·        At the STOP sign, turn RIGHT into the school where the sign says DO NOT ENTER.  Proceed to the end of the service road and turn RIGHT.

·        To the right there is an underground garage below the school for parking.

·        Follow the signs to the pool.
